Brown v Board of Education African American Civil Rights in America Attaining equal rights and opportunities for African Americans in the United States has been a long and sometimes violent struggle, that continues. While African Americans still face many obstacles, the social changes in the United States since Brown v Board of Education, have been significant. Satchel Paige once said don't look back, something might be gaining on you and we generally follow that philosopy. It has also been said that you don't know where you are going unless you know where you have been. On that note (where we were as African Americans in 1954), we present the following links regarding Brown v Board of Education, jim crow laws and civil rights. |
